Integrative Mental Health

Integrative Mental Health

The Soul Health Model is inherently integrative in nature but Dr. Katherine Kelly has taken it to yet another level by becoming a Certified Mental Health Practitioner.

Many people don’t realize that their anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders are related to their unique “psychobiology”—the manner in which their bodies respond to food, diet, and nutrition. There is mounting evidence that confirms many mental health concerns are directly linked to vitamin and mineral deficiencies and a person’s ability to process nutrients. Without proper attention to this aspect of health, emotional conditions will inevitably persist.

Through an integrative mental health assessment and ongoing consultation, Dr. Kelly will help you take a deeper look at how your nutritional patterns may be affecting your overall well-being. She offers evidence-based holistic information so you can take a more natural approach to improving your psychological “branch of health”.

  • Improve mood and behavior using micro- and macronutrient management

  • Receive practical information to individualize your diet to improve your psychobiology

  • Learn to differentiate mental health issues from nutritional and/or hormonal imbalances

  • Create a customized treatment plan to fit your individual needs

  • Understand how gut health (the “second brain”) impacts your overall well-being

  • Identify how gluten sensitivity affects the presentation of depression

  • Learn when psychotropic medications, herbal medicines, and certain nutrients could be harmful

  • Understand how circadian rhythm contributes to depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder

  • Evaluate the impact of blood sugar on mental health disorders
